Contract Insight: Tinker AFB Help Desk Support
Since 2008, Chickasaw Nation Industries has provided Help Desk Support to Tinker Air Force Base under multiple consecutive contracts. During this time, CNI had consistently high CPAR (Contractor Performance Assessment Reports) and had developed a great working relationship with the Tinker community. Despite our excellent history as part of ‘Team Tinker’, CNI lost this contract to a competitor in 2018.
Today, CNI is once again a part of ‘Team Tinker’ after the Communications Directorate at Tinker AFB asked Chickasaw Defense Logistics, a CNI family company, to return in November of 2019.
Eric Robinson, Program Manager for Chickasaw Defense Logistics, has overseen work on this contract since returning, and says that CDL employees received a very warm welcome from the Directorate’s leadership; in kind CDL have managed to reduce the existing backlog of tickets by an incredible 86%.
“After a smooth transition with the incumbent, we inherited a backlog of over 900 customer tickets. Two months later, our team of 70 people had reduced that backlog down to just 200 tickets,” said Robinson. “Of course our DoD customers at Tinker are thrilled, and our team is excited about this accomplishment. Many challenges still lie ahead as we work toward achieving some very stringent contract performance objectives, but we are celebrating this initial victory by recognizing the great team we here have at Tinker.”
