The primary responsibility for Production Control Coordinator is to ensure that production operations run smoothly and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass a background test.

  • Must be able to pass a drug test.

  • Read engineering drawings, both layout and detail. 

  • Experience in labor time estimating. 

  • General knowledge of how conveyor systems are installed and operated. 

  • Detail oriented and self motivated. 

  • Able to handle more than one task or job at a time. 

  • Computer skills including: Manufacturing systems, ACAD, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Developing production schedules and plans to meet customer demands and deadlines. This often involves balancing the workflow to optimize the use of machinery and labor. 

    Monitoring and managing inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished goods to prevent shortages and overstock situations. 

    Collaborating with different departments such as procurement, engineering, and shipping to ensure everything is in place for production to proceed without delays. 

    Analyzing production data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. This can involve tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and generating reports for management. 

    Addressing and resolving any issues that arise in the production process, such as equipment breakdowns or supply chain disruptions. 

    Ensuring that products meet quality standards and working with quality assurance teams to implement improvements. 

    Continuously looking for ways to improve production processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency and productivity. 

    Ensuring that production operations comply with safety regulations and standards. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and four to six (4-6) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
