Jonna Kirschner inducted into Tinker AFB 2020 Honorary Commanders Program

Jonna Kirschner, CNI’s Senior Vice President of Economic Development, was recently inducted into the 2020 Tinker Air Force Base Honorary Commanders Program as part of the Life Cycle Management Center.

Launched in 1996, the mission of the program is to increase awareness and cooperation while fostering essential relationships between Tinker’s leadership and government leaders from throughout central Oklahoma.

Honorary commanders are chosen from the Oklahoma Legislature, local governments, and community leaders. They are then paired with key leaders from the Tinker AFB for a one-year term during which they attend a number of special events, such as unit changes of command, and the Star Spangled Salute Air Show.

The main goal of the Honorary Commanders Program is to develop integral interpersonal relationships to understand how each partner’s activities affect the community and Tinker AFB. Other goals are to provide opportunities for participants to learn more about his or her partners business, mission, professional responsibilities and individual leadership style, as well as increase communication between on and off base leaders.

As one of thirteen inductees, Jonna has been paired with Col. Benjamin D. Boehm, Director of Jet Propulsion at Tinker AFB. Col. Boehm provides oversight of the development, acquisition, testing, fielding, sustainment, and modernization of leading-edge propulsion systems for the U.S. warfighter and international partners.
