Scrum Master/Scheduler

The Scrum Master/Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing an integrated master schedule for courseware development projects in an agile setting. This role involves ensuring that the development team adheres to scrum framework values and agile practices. The Scrum Master/Scheduler also mentors and motivates the team to enhance their processes, facilitates meetings, supports decision-making, and removes any impediments affecting the team. Additionally, the role includes overseeing content conversion contracts focused on modernizing accession training for the Navy Steelworker (SW) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) ratings. This position is 100% remote.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

  • Facilitates discussions and decision making and assists in mediation of conflict resolution. 

  • Leads the team and guides them on how to get the most out of self-organization. 

  • Able to troubleshoot and identify issues quickly. 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, organize, conduct, and oversee quality control and review programs. 

  • Deep knowledge of agile and scrum. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Identifies potential schedule risks and reports to management team. 

  • Serve as Scrum Master within an agile environment providing support to managers/task leads to manage timelines associated with sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups 

  • Facilitates agile process across team and with government personnel. 

  • Establishes scrum boards and reporting mechanisms for entire team and government. 

  • Assists to create an open and trust-based environment and culture, which enables a focus on delivery and facilitates continuous improvement. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.    

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $95K to $115K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
