Overview:

The Salesforce Functional Consultant will solution and develop at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), translating business requirements into functional specifications and testing scenarios. Responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions, collaborating with teams, communicating with clients, overseeing system integration, and participating in progress updates. This position requires proficiency in Salesforce, Agile/Scrum methodologies, PowerBI data analysis, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.  Salesforce Admin experience and understanding of SFDC architectural concepts are a plus. This position is currently 100% remote to the Atlanta, GA area, but may transition to hybrid or fully onsite.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass a customer (CDC) background check for access to facilities, equipment and property.   

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields and a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience. 

  • Demonstrable proficiency in Salesforce, encompassing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Lightning Experience. 

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and adeptness in working with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery. 

  • Ability to conduct data pulls and leveraging PowerBI for analytics of data and development of graphs and reports to display data. 

  • Combination of business analysis and technology implementation experience. 

  • Salesforce Admin experience a plus. 

  • Understanding of key SFDC architectural concepts. 

  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling the translation of complex business requirements into actionable solutions. 

  • Proficient in gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into technical requirements. 

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with Salesforce platform updates and enhancements. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Utilize significant experience in Salesforce to drive successful client delivery in a fast-paced, delivery-focused role. 

  • Design and implement technology solutions across various industry sectors. 

  • Collaborate effectively across functional and technical teams to deliver projects on time and within scope. 

  • Communicate with clients on a business level and translate their needs into innovative Salesforce solutions. 

  • Oversee the integration of other systems to the Salesforce platform. 

  • Keeps up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features and trends. 

  • Participate in regular calls with stakeholders to provide progress updates and address risks. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields and a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
