The Human Resources Assistant III provides a broad range of administrative services. Provides administrative support to an individual, team, department or group in an organization. Handles a wide variety of administrative and operations support functions and manages multiple priorities.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS  

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property. 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion is required.  

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Provides general HR administrative support, including scheduling, record-keeping, reporting, and processing HR transactions.

  • Manages calendars, coordinates meetings, and organizes HR-related events.

  • Supports hiring processes by reviewing and submitted job requests, coordinating interviews, preparing offer letters, and assisting with background checks.

  • Provides status updates to hiring officials and HR staff.

  • Facilitates onboarding and in-out processing, including orientations and required documentation.

  • Maintains and updates employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and compliance.

  • Compile data, generate recurring and ad-hoc reports, and support audits and compliance reviews.

  • Responds to routine employee inquires and escalates issues as needed.

  • Provides guidance on HR policies, procedures, and training requests.

  • Assists with the communication and implementation of HR policies and initiatives.

  • Coordinates logistics for training sessions maintaining training records, and assist with the creation/distribution of training materials.

  • Assists employees with benefits and compensation questions.

  • Supports benefits enrollment and coordinates with providers to resolve issues.

  • Prepares HR correspondence, reports, briefings, and other official documents.

  • Ensures HR activities adhere to federal, state, local, and organizational regulations and requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three to five (3-5) of years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $25 to $33, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
