The highly experienced and strategic Aeronautical Logistics Advisor provides expert guidance and leadership in logistics and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in senior management roles, with a deep understanding of complex organizational structures, budgeting, acquisition processes, and relationships with key manufacturing and procurement agencies. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of providing strategic counsel to senior leadership, driving operational excellence, and optimizing logistics and supply chain performance. Experience working within an aeronautical logistics center environment, such as Tinker Air Force Base, is highly desirable.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Minimum of fifteen plus (15+) years of experience in senior management roles overseeing logistics and supply chain management.
Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic logistics and supply chain initiatives.
Extensive experience in budgeting, acquisition, and procurement processes.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience working with the DLA or similar procurement agencies.
Significant experience with organizational reporting structures.
Highly desired: Experience working within an air logistics complex environment (e.g., Tinker Air Force Base).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Deep understanding of logistics and supply chain principles and practices.
Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
Expertise in contract management.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides expert advice and strategic guidance to senior leadership on all aspects of logistics and supply chain management.
Develops and recommends strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
Analyzes industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Oversees and evaluates existing logistics and supply chain programs, identifying areas for optimization.
Develops and implements strategies to improve inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Develops and manages comprehensive budgets for logistics and supply chain operations.
Analyzes financial data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Prepares and presents detailed reports to senior leadership on logistics and supply chain performance.
Understands and improves organizational reporting structures.
Provides expert guidance on acquisition and procurement processes, including contract negotiation and management.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with key manufacturing and procurement agencies, such as the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
Ensures efficient and effective procurement of materials and services.
Aeronautical Logistics Expertise (Highly Desirable):
Leverages experience working within an air logistics complex environment (e.g., Tinker Air Force Base) to provide specialized insights and guidance.
Understands the unique challenges and requirements of aeronautical logistics, including maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations.
Applies knowledge of military logistics and supply chain practices to optimize performance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, Master's degree preferred and minimum of fifteen plus (15+) years of experience in senior management roles overseeing logistics and supply chain management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
