SUMMARY
The STEM and Research Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs and research initiatives within an organization. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to promote STEM education, coordinating research projects, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the success of STEM and research initiatives in support of USAARL in Fort Novosel, AL.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides technical and management services to carry out internal and external research and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) strategic initiatives.
Coordinates with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), scientists, engineers, managers, and support staff to develop and implement manageable programmatic elements.
Attends meetings, events, activities, and trainings, and engages in strategic outreach efforts that export the Laboratory’s value.
Coordinates, schedules, prepares, and conducts research and STEM initiatives and activities.
Develops and implements programs that encompass effective communication, mentorship principles, leadership practices, and professional development.
Communicates in a timely manner with COR, staff, participants, volunteers, and others.
Aids in the evaluation of Laboratory initiatives and consolidation of performance metrics reported internally and to outside organizations.
Engages in data collection and processing, database development and management, report writing, metrics reporting, presentation delivery, and promotion activities.
Assists with various aspects of the Laboratory’s Science Information Center (S5) and other areas of the Laboratory, as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
