SUMMARY 

The Senior Events Planner will organize and coordinate various types of events, such as conferences, meetings, parties and corporate functions.  

 

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS  

Experience in program coordination, event planning, and logistics management.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with government online systems (e.g., YRCS, DTS, AROWS).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Understanding of military culture and deployment cycles a plus.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the followingOther duties may be assigned. 

 

Oversees all aspects of Wing YRRP program execution, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations and best practices.

Manages a team of YRSS staff, delegating tasks and providing continuous support and training.

Develops and implements program strategies to increase Wing participation in YRRP events.

Identifies and coordinates childcare and support services for YRRP events.

Serves as a liaison between the Wing and the YR Management Team, providing program data and reports.

Represents the Wing YRRP program in outreach activities and collaborates with community partners to enhance program offerings.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Event Management) preferred.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusExposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The pay range for this role is 81K - 90K. This salary range is representative of the various ranges found within the professional sector across the United States, with the final offer amount dependent on location, skillset, and experience.
