SUMMARY

The Senior IT Manager – Infrastructure & Operations oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of the infrastructure including data center, server, network, IT security, storage, and telecommunications for Chickasaw Nation Industries with a strong emphasis on IT Security.  This position identifies, researches and resolves complex technical problems and supervises assigned technical staff.   Additionally, the Senior IT Manager – Infrastructure & Operations works closely with senior management to propose improvements and cost / labor reductions to the IT infrastructure in support of business objectives.   This position evaluates and recommends solutions based on cost-benefit to the business including onsite and hosted solutions (i.e., Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, and Software-as-a-Service).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge / quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative / motivation, cooperation / relationships, problem analysis / discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral / written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability / dependability, flexibility and ownership / accountability of actions taken.

Evaluates the current IT Infrastructure relative to current business requirements, and recommends improvements or changes to the IT Director.

Manages and mentors / trains technical staff.  Assigns and organizes tasks, and oversees implementation of upgrades and complex projects. 

Creates and manages information security policies, procedures, and daily information security tasks including, but not limited to, risk assessments, guidance to business partners on security best practices and overall management of the CNI Information Security program.

Oversees the administration and management of Microsoft Office 365 and all its components.

Experience with Cloud Security services such as MFA, SSO technologies, CASB, and DLP.

Creates an efficient work environment conducive to teamwork and collaboration, and encourages good communication between employees and management. 

Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to provide strategic technical planning and solution design.

Applies vendor management strategies and works closely with all of CNI’s technology vendors to ensure CNI is receiving the best value in all its software, hardware, and services.

Manages the escalation procedures, and ensures service levels are maintained. As needed, handles escalations on problem tickets using various knowledge bases to resolve issues.

Documents, tracks and monitors problems to ensure resolution in a timely manner.

Ensures system scaling capabilities that enable company growth, including system transformation and solution implementation.

Investigates and resolves complex computer software and hardware problems of users.

Promotes a team environment and assists the team members, as needed.

Allocates and schedules staff.   Advises IT team on system troubleshooting and problem resolution determinations.

Plans and accomplishes department and individual goals.

Utilizes experience in designing and maintaining network architecture, as required. 

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers.  Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, and a minimum of ten (10) years relevant infrastructure / operations experience with at least five years leading / managing IT teams, developing IT strategy, and developing long term IT budgets and plans.  Understanding of various hardware and software platforms preferred (i.e., server administration, Active Directory, SAN, WAN/LAN routing and switching, email administration and telecommunications administration). As well as an expert level understanding of security practices and concepts.

Expert knowledge of securely handling CMMC, NIST 800-171, NIST CSF, HIPAA Privacy and Security, and\or other regulated information.

Microsoft Office 365 GCC licensing, administration, and security.

Extensive knowledge of server OS environments, hardware, peripherals and system administration

Skilled in facilitating teamwork and coordinating efforts for the successful achievement of goals

Excellent supervisory and management skills with ability to resolve conflicts, grievances, confrontations or disagreements in a constructive manner

Ability to schedule, plan and lead meetings

Knowledgeable in the analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications

Ability to effectively utilize available tools and resources to resolve issues

Ability to collaborate and drive consensus across a diverse group of customers with conflicting priorities

Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA or other comparable security certifications.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professiona1journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
