The IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Manager provides support to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), U.S. Department of the Treasury. This position manages the performance of service areas and ensures that service levels are achieved. The IT SDLC Manager ensures that a high quality service is provided to all users of the IT system, in accordance with defined policies, procedures and Service Level Agreements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Establishes requirements for implementing, maintaining and supporting a standardized SDLC methodology for new system development and production system enhancement, maintenance and disposition activities.
Supports the SDLC framework that identifies the processes and activities necessary to properly plan and manage IT system development and maintenance activities (software/hardware).
Outlines the key components and processes of Service Delivery Lifecycle; plans to outline the transition to Service Delivery across the ITS organization.
Undertakes strategic planning in relation to application system upgrades, new releases and migration to new systems both local and national.
Ensures a responsive service is provided to meet SLA’s including the management of resources and prioritization of workload.
Ensures that systems, processes and methodologies are followed to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of service delivery.
Attends service review meetings; areas covered will include performance reports, service improvements, quality and processes.
Provides specialist professional advice and support throughout customer organizations in relation to the support and development applications.
Analyses, investigates and resolves highly complex IT queries where there are a range of options and guidance may be unavailable or ambiguous.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience. Three (3) years’ experience with ITSM process management model development, cloud experience, SDLC development and ITIL implementation.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
