SUMMARY
The Data Entry Operator II prepares documents for archival at a Federal Records Facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepares documents for scanning.
Enters data into appropriate reporting and recordkeeping systems.
Scans and reassembles documents after scanning.
Completes assignments with a high degree of accuracy.
Performs Quality Checks of completed work and will identify and track any deficiencies noted.
Ensures all identified deficiencies are promptly corrected.
Must be able to prepare basic activity and progress reports using MS Excel sorting and filtering tools.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with a minimum of two (2) years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of relevant work experience. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience in records management and scanning preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
