IT Manager-Business Solutions Development
The IT Manager-Business Solutions Development provides support in the planning and development of applications systems in support of multiple lines of business conducted by Chickasaw Nation Industries. This position requires cross-functional knowledge of IT operations with the ability to provide a broad range of hardware and software applications support. Responsibilities require some travel to offsite office locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for managing small IT projects as assigned.
Researches and makes recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
Leads a cross-functional software development, business intelligence and data management team with application lifecycle responsibilities
Helps to identify and resolve system errors.
Leads the design, development, and implementation of application enhancements and upgrades to systems software.
Liaises with network administrators and software engineers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing.
Builds a strong technology foundation, including best practices, patterns and standards.
Compiles and maintains inventory of company software and systems assets and their corresponding contracts/agreements.
Develops and communicates training and documentation for end users and user-related activities.
Responsible for the delivery and maintenance of applications in support of CNI business lines. Works with internal IT and CNI business end-users to assure systems meet necessary requirements.
Collaborates with business units to analyze new business needs. Leads IT staff in providing solutions and in determining functional requirements.
May interface with external vendors to ensure the proper delivery of services.
Maintains an ongoing awareness of emerging developments and trends in technology.
Oversees various operational IT initiatives and sees them through to completion.
Engages on application production issues and communicates current statuses to business stakeholders.
Understands and develops solutions for the enterprise architecture vision. Assists other team members with vision compliance.
Participate and facilitate solution design sessions and peer design reviews.
Develops and communicates department / enterprise vision, strategies, critical success factors and plans.
Participates in departmental strategic and budgetary planning processes; prepares and administers operating budget.
Identifies staffing needs, prepares job descriptions, evaluates and mentors staff.
Assesses technical skills, identify training needs and opportunities, and ensures that required materials and tools are available for direct reports to perform their job responsibilities.
Sets performance expectations of team members, guides career development and mentors their success in meeting objectives.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and Human Resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study and a minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience. Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions. Direct, hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools. Experience in project management and project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc. Experience with ISO 20000 preferred. Experience with COBIT preferred. Data Architecture and Data Quality experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATION
PMP Certification preferred

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
